- Wes VanceLead Application Developer
My passion is coding ideas to market. I am a founder of the development studio, Curiosity Apps and work with the EVAN founders through all stages of the application development process including; ideation, prototyping, designs, minimum viable products, deployment, and scaling! When I am not coding, I am traveling the world and exploring national parks in my Jeep.

Fifteen years ago I joined the partnership of Deloitte Consulting. One of the perks of being a Partner at the world’s largest professional services firm was having a hotline access to IT support. Time was money for the partners and ensuring immediate access to IT assistance was paramount. Fast forward, 8 years ago, I left Deloitte and co-founded a small consulting firm, Trenegy. Finding IT help for the cadre of consultants at Trenegy was difficult. After frustrating cycles through various managed services firms and frazzled independent IT guys, IT support was brought in-house. However, in-house meant my business partner performed the IT support.
A business owner doing IT support was a tremendous waste of time and money. The epiphany came, “what if we had an on-demand IT support model for small businesses?” Then small businesses can get the same level of support only afforded by Big 4 partners at a lower price! This epiphany was the genesis of EVAN. Today, Trenegy and many other firms are getting the IT support they deserve. I serve as the ‘non-IT’ guy co-founder, board director of Trenegy and advise on all financial, legal and marketing matters.

When the co-founders of EVAN asked me to join the team in 2018, I hitched a ride on a shipping truck and never looked back. At first, I was tasked with helping people fix their computers, but my team decided I wasn’t cut out for that because current technology isn't conducive to my fingerless hands. I was better suited for a leadership role, so I was promoted to CFO. Chief Fun Officer, that is.
My strengths include dancing, high-fiving, meeting new people, and posing for pictures. Trade shows, conferences, and events are my favorite places to put my skills to work. I love making people smile—especially those who try not to. I’m still working on some things, like not running into trashcans and people. But my team says I’m making strides in the right direction.
I love making EVAN stand out and challenging my team not to take things so seriously.
Shortly after being hired I became the designated office prankster. My coworkers usually ask me to hide and jump out at unsuspecting team members. I’m always game, although at first, I wasn’t sure why they always made me do it. I guess I just have good timing.
When I’m not working, I enjoy brushing up on my dance moves, shooting hoops, and staying cool in the Texas heat.

I started my career setting up a support group for more than 100 users of the first ever major deployment of IBM PC-XTs. After getting my MBA, I became a merger integration consultant for a large professional services firm responsible for merging large IT support groups. During this time, I was asked to act as temporary CIO for three companies. I later became an IT Strategy and Operations partner at a Big Four consulting firm where I enjoyed advising clients on how to establish robust IT support functions. A side benefit of becoming a partner? The ability to USE a robust IT support group as opposed to setting up and managing one!
Nine years ago, I left Deloitte and co-founded a small consulting firm where I found myself responsible for establishing the IT support model necessary to keep the business running and consultants productive. We unsuccessfully tried an endless number of managed services companies who all provided an "assigned IT professional" who was never available when a laptop failed. These professionals all seemed to have side jobs as sherpas—they would be hiking the Himalayas when things were critical! I gave up trying to find outside assistance and started supporting laptops myself.
A waste of time and money. Especially as we grew!
One day we had an epiphany based on desperation—what if we created an on-demand IT support model? Then, we could use it and help other small businesses get the same level of support available to larger organizations.
EVAN was born!
Today, my consulting firm and many other firms are getting the IT support they deserve. I now advise and support the President of Technology & Operations at EVAN as EVAN’s co-founder and serve as a board director of Trenegy.

The founders of EVAN introduced me to EVAN when it was a mere twinkle in their eyes. I was asked to be the official project manager and oversee the coding and development process. This really meant managing the founder’s crazy ideas and keeping the development efforts in line.
I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Communication and Business. The Communications degree prepared me the most for project management. I have a knack for conceptualizing an idea and relentlessly pursuing it until it's a reality. Outside of work, you can find me exploring new coffee shops with my husband or curled up with a good C.S. Lewis book.
- Julie BairdProject Manager
The founders of EVAN rescued me from a small private real estate company and introducing me to the world of technology. I was tagged to support the EVAN team in a project management role overseeing the design and creative works of EVAN.
I graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Management. The degree in management taught me to diplomatically turn our founder’s ideas into something that actually works. I have a passion for bringing peoples' ideas to fruition; championing the process from beginning to end. When I'm not hard at work, you can find me skiing in the mountains or rollerblading through the Bayou City.

I have a passion for finding better ways to solve difficult business problems with technology and when Bill and Peter approached me about building a platform for an on-demand IT service model, all I could say was “this will turn IT on its side and we can do this.”
For over 25 years, I have been supporting business initiatives and IT organizations in a variety of different roles performing a myriad of different functions. I see myself as a visionary and see the transformation that is occurring within IT and IT support. EVAN is leading the way to transform the traditional and expensive IT support model and as a co-founder, I serve as the architect and an advisor for all things technical.
I joined EVAN after 15 years of academic and professional experience related to operations and logistics, primarily in privatized housing and higher-education. These experiences always drove me to look for the better and more efficient way of completing a task or achieving a goal; EVAN is exactly that for IT support.
As the go-to "tech guy" my whole life, earning my "Master Certification" before there was such a thing, I enjoy combining my lifetime passion for technology with my career interests in operations and project management. I was immediately drawn to EVAN's commitment to maintaining a secure and transparent platform, as well as the priority to educate and inform our customers. I now support these values by overseeing the development of our application, web presence, and the recruitment, screening, and training of our IT Professionals.
